Frontliner, born Barry Drooger, didn’t just enter hardstyle – he helped define its sound. With over 111 MILLION streams on Spotify, more than 100 original productions, and one fact that few people know: before gaining fame under his own name, he worked as a ghost producer for other artists. You’ve heard his kicks before – you just didn’t know they were his.

His educational livestreams, where he explains how to build the legendary hardstyle kick, have attracted huge communities of fans and producers. His 2015 sample pack found its way into many studios – even Hardwell reportedly used it.

In 2012, he launched the “For The People” campaign – an initiative inviting fans to actively participate in his music and career. Because for him, hardstyle has always been about community, not monuments.

From Spacer, which took over the scene in 2008, through Symbols defining the sound of Q-Base, to Weekend Warriors – the anthem of Defqon.1. Add tracks like Halos, Discorecord, 200 BPM and Loud. Each of these tracks is a piece of hardstyle DNA – and each leads back to one name.

He has collaborated with B-Front (as the duo B-Frontliner), Wildstylez and Ran-D, while also delivering official remixes for Armin van Buuren, Major Lazer and Showtek. His performances include stages such as Tomorrowland, Qlimax, Decibel Outdoor and Q-Base.

In 2022, Frontliner revealed his darker side with the Alter Ego project – a brutal and darker response to his own sound, proving that even after 16 years on the scene, he still has something to say.

In 2024, he released the album Echoes of Euphoria and was responsible for the anthems of So W’Happy and Indicator 2024.
